Bronte Rocks Notice of Race
Rules: The regatta will be governed by the current Racing Rules of Sailing
Eligibility and Entry: The regatta is open to all yachts 21’ and over, Sharks and limited one design fleets. Handicap racing will under both PHRF and IRC. Handicapped racing is restricted to yachts with valid PHRF Certificates or Endorsed IRC Certificates. Those yachts competing in the Cruising Division will be assigned a rating if they do not have a valid PHRF Certificate.
Single handing is specifically prohibited.
Entry Fee: Early Bird entry fee is $60.00 until August 15th. After August 15th the Entry Fees is $75.00.
Sailing Instruction: Final Sailing Instructions are made available immediately prior the Skipper’s Meeting.
Venue: All racing will take place on two courses approximately 1.5 nautical miles south of the entrance to the harbour on 2 separate courses.
Racing: There are 3 scheduled races for Saturday and 2 for Sunday for a maximum of 5 races.
Scoring: The low Point scoring system will be applied, modified so that each yacht’s series score shall be the total of her scores for each race, with her worst score discarded if 4 or more races have been completed.
Awards: Series prizes for the first 3 places in each division will be awarded at the Awards Ceremony to take place as soon as possible after the racing.
